Kirk Jarvis produced the on-site video teleconference and Teleportec system
staging for a live satellite teleconference with Arthur C. Clarke from his home
in Sri Lanka while the audience at the Playboy Mansion watched his 3D image
interact with Host Patrick Stewart.
Teleportec Entertainment develops
entertainment applications for the Teleportec system of 3D video
conferencing. The systems uses a quirk of human perception called
"Pepper's Ghost", popularized in the 1860's by John Henry Pepper, to
create the visual impression of 3D.
